Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. All core features — every content type, customization, and PNG/SVG download — are free with no account required.
Are my QR codes static or dynamic?
Static. The data is encoded directly in the pattern, so it works forever with no tracking server. It cannot be changed after printing — generate a new code to change the destination.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Generation, customization, and logo compositing all happen locally in your browser. Uploaded logos are never sent to a server.
Why won't my QR code scan?
Most failures are low color contrast, a logo covering too much of the pattern, or too much data at a small print size. Use dark-on-light colors, keep logos small, and use error correction H with logos.
Wi-Fi QR code doesn't connect — why?
Check the exact SSID (case-sensitive), security type (WPA/WEP/open), and password. Hidden networks must have the hidden flag checked. Some laptops ignore Wi-Fi QR codes — phones handle them best.
What size should I print?
At least 2×2 cm for short URLs scanned up close; 3–5 cm for posters and packaging. Export at 1024px or higher for print.
Can I upload a photo from my phone to make a QR code?
You can pick a photo from your device for a local preview, but a QR code cannot contain a picture — it holds at most about 2,900 characters, far less than any image. So the photo must be online first: upload it to a free host (imgbb, Postimages) or share an album from Google Photos, Drive or Dropbox, then paste the public link into the Image Gallery generator.
Advanced tools — coming soon
Everything above is fully working today. The items below need extra infrastructure (redirect hosting, tracking, accounts) and are not yet available — listed here so the roadmap is transparent.
Bulk QR Generator Coming soon
Generate hundreds of codes at once from a list or CSV upload. Needs batch rendering and ZIP export — planned for Phase 2.
Dynamic QR Codes Coming soon
Change the destination after printing via a redirect service. Requires hosted redirect infrastructure — not part of the free static generator.
Scan Analytics Coming soon
Counts and insights per code. Only possible with dynamic codes plus privacy-reviewed tracking — planned for Phase 3.
Saved Projects & History Coming soon
Reopen and manage past codes across devices. Requires accounts and stored data — planned for Phase 3.
